MO COUNTY ALL STARS
YOUTH MOVES'
HISTORY
As Youth Move worked to achieve their mission and vision,
they rely heavily on local chapters to be their eyes and ears at
the community level. We live in a vast and widespread country
and in order to reach people and make positive changes in
local communities we need a large collection of chapters to
support and carry on that work. That is why we are looking
to increase our chapter presence all over the country.
OUR
HISTORY
Mo County ALL STARS was founded in 2007 by a grant in the state of Maryland to support and grow a youth component around the state of Maryland which was spear headed by Innovation Institute now know as the Institute. They decided to hire and bring a youth woman to Maryland to assist the youth in Maryland to unite and become the first state chapter of YOUTH MOVE in the country,
her name is Tricialouise Millard. Tricia is no longer with us but she will always be remembered for her advocacy for Youth.
In Montgomery Maryland the Montgomery County Federation of Families for
Children's Mental Health, a family organization rand by Celia Serkin had the wisdom
and insight to apply for the grant and worked hard to sustain the ALL STARS.
